This vintage, rare, Sony DT-30 audio timer (AC 120V 60HZ, Serial 013553) has a great look to it, It works perfectly.
The Sony DT-30 timer originally was used to control audio video equipment but it could be repurposed as an alarm clock. It has a clock and a dial for setting the "timer" time. When the dial is on "Timer Set" and the set time comes around, then power is supplied to the outlets on the back of the timer. So your alarm could be any powered device.

Connections: The outlets on the back are non-polarized -- skinny blades -- so polarized plugs will not work on it.
